So... how do I use them?
The first step is to go to the forum itself at http://whhsband.2.forumer.com. There is also a link to them at the bottom of the "Navigation" portion of the navbar. Guests can only post in the tech department forum, so if you do not have an account you must register to get any use out of these forums. Registration is simple; first, cick the link pictured below.

Once you are there, choose a username and password, enter in your e-mail, accept the host's terms of service agreement and click to complete the registration. It's that simple.
However, once you register, you need to read the rules to be able to see the other forums. That is also a fairly simple process. Just go to the only forum you can see, and open the only topic there.
Then, read the rules. It should take no more than five, tenminutes of your time. You will need to post a reply there once you are finished.

After that, you should have full access to the forums. Here are a few helpful posting features you should be aware of.

1. Private Messaging
This enables you to send mail to another member through the forum. This is how any personal or 1-on-1 discussions should be conducted on here.
2. Edit
This allows for you to change or make additions to any post you make. Instead of posting two times in a row, which is irritating, it is much better to add new information through the edit feature at the end of your last message, marking the change with a little indicator like Edit: .
3. Quote
If you're replying to a specific post, hit this button in that post's window and it will automatically put it into [quote] tags. Please do not abuse this feature by creating long strings of quote boxes. It's unneccessary to have a recap of an entire topic every time you make a post. To counteract this, when you quote a post with a quote already in it, most of the time you should delete the quote-inside-the-quote before posting.
4. Delete
Works exactly as one expects it would. Deletes your post. This is a handy to have if you accidentally post twice, or in the wrong topic.
5. Report
Flags a post for moderation, if you see the rules being broken somewhere.
Those are the basics on getting an account running on the forums and a couple of the features available there. Happy posting!
